Knight

Old Sprite

The Knight is a man who served his sovereign or lord as a mounted soldier in armor.

Known Behavior[]

Knights are stronger than the regular man, having 80 health points. He spawns equipping a sword that can deal 30 damage, however when disarmed their punch deals 10 damage. They are neutral, only attacking in self-defense.

In a similar way to the policemen and soldiers, they will protect any friendly character including Maxwell. They also will ride horses, steeds and war horses. When disarmed, they will equip any melee weapon nearby, like a battle axe or a mace.

In the early games, knights were hostile towards monsters. However in recent games, the knight became more coward, running away from any type of beast, demon or undead creature. Dragons are always hostile towards knights, even in games where dragons are neutral creatures.

When a NPC is equipping a crown, all knights will follow the object equipping it while expressing the investigate emotion. Princesses will follow them, but expressing the follow emotion instead. If you give the sentient or place someone inside a suit of armor, it will become a knight.

In Super Scribblenauts, when black knight or dark knight is spawned, a darkened knight is not spawned, but instead a strong hostile mob in which the only similarities to the regular knight is that it is human, wears armor, and carries a sword.

Weirdly, in Super Scribblenauts and Scribblenauts Remix the knight can't swim, instead they will sink to the bottom and walk as if they were on land. This feature was removed, they are capable of swimming in recent games, but they still will sink when wielding the paralyzed or dead adjective.

Trivia[]

  • Leeroy Jenkins is a reference of a player character created by Ben Schulz in World Of Warcraft. Leeroy Jenkins may be a knight. The synonym Leeroy Jenkins is classed as an Internet meme, however the knight does not exhibit the typical Leeroy Jenkins behavior (i.e. charging headlong into battle regardless of the situation).
  • There are other varieties of the knight wielding different weapons, specifically, pikeman and jouster.
