A Shotgun is a handheld projectile weapon that fires shotgun blast. The range is limited, but it is powerful at close range (just like a real shotgun). You can hear the reload noise of the weapon between shots, but there is no animation for reloading. Like all weapons, Maxwell wields it in one hand. Most NPCs cannot use this weapon properly, since when they fire the shot either goes over their target's head or hits the ground.

- The object Post 217 shows Maxwell holding a different type of shotgun with brown highlights, not included in the final game.
- This gun ignores the adjective bulletproof.
