Maxwell's sister is a beta character in Scribblenauts who was removed for unknown reasons. Despite her removal, her sprite still appears on the sprite sheet of both Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts. However, a character with the design of this early version of Maxwell's sister can be summoned in Scribblenauts Unlimited by way of spawning any variation of a Doppelganger with the "Female" adjective.
Also shown on the sprite sheet for Super Scribblenauts are shown that there was originally more constellations. All three of these are in Scribblenauts Remix.
There were 8 merit icons included in Scribblenauts but not used. While they can't be obtained through normal play, it is possible to see what they could have been. Descriptions for all the merits, including these 8 extras, are loaded into the game's memory during play. Five of the extra descriptions are just the text "MERIT WAS CUT"; however, the remaining three still are present as actual descriptions. In addition, the titles for each merit are loaded into memory if the player gets a merit upon beating a level. The icons that correspond to these titles and descriptions can be determined based on their ordering in their respective portions of memory.
BOGEYMAN: "SCORE OVER PAR IN EVERY LEVEL IN A WORLD."
JOKER: "WRITE PRIEST, RABBI AND IMAM." A reference to the common joke template involving (typically) a priest, a minister, and a rabbi walking into a bar. Likely cut to avoid religious contention from players who didn't get the reference.
LONG YAWN: unknown. Could be based on time spent in the level, or making someone/something sleep?
NO VEHICLES: unknown. Probably pretty self-explanatory, though.
RECYCLER: unknown.
WELLREAD: unknown. Could be triggered by summoning multiple print materials?
WORLD UNDER PAR: "SCORE UNDER PAR IN EVERY LEVEL INSIDE A WORLD."
YAWN: unknown. Likely related to #3, Long Yawn.
At E3 2009 and 2010[]
Both Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts had playable demos in their respective E3s. The famous "God vs. the Kraken" video showed a Flamethrower that shot out a straight line of flame, not multiple moving flames. An early level was also shown. It has a different top-screen design than the final.
There are a few differences between the E3 version of Super Scribblenauts and the actual game (e.g., the adjective telekinetic makes the affected person's head bigger and allows them to fly, as opposed to only allowing flight in the E3 game)
Beta Objects[]
Many objects went through beta stages. Some objects were removed completely. Many of these beta objects are dinosaurs or monsters, and had only dot eyes.
Known Beta Objects[]
Hydra: A Green monster with three necks and heads. The Beta version of the Hydra was less detailed.
Brontosaurus: The beta Brontosaurus was grey instead of blue-grey and had larger feet.
Plesiosaurus: The beta version was less detailed and a darker shade of blue.
Octoclop: Looked like a Cyclops, except it had eight eyes.
Mermaid: Used to have a red star fish, bigger eyes, had slightly darker hair with a different style and pointed hair along the end with a slightly different tail.
Monster: used to look like a more fitting sprite for a ogre, was fatter, had red eyes that only one sprite has that is still known, Baba Yaga, had two horns instead of three, had more detail, was more brown and had a moveable mouth unlike the Tyrannosaurus in the normal versions of Scribblenauts.
Scribblenauts Unlimited has features that were never concluded. This includes details found in the E3 demonstration and assets found in the game files.
Super Scribblenauts assets[]
In the game files it's possible to find many unused Super Scribblenauts sprites, this is probably used as a reference to the graphic designers. However there are some assets that where re-designed or updated, implying that they were planned to be used or the graphic designers did not know they were not going to be used.

Object Editor[]
The object editor seems to have gone trough a lot of changes. The first concepts for the object editor seems to follow the Super Scribblenauts aesthethics instead of the current game design.

Levels[]
There are some unused levels found in the files. Mostly of them are just textures, but some are fully coded, like the Stadium and the Mall.
Named "446_01", this appear to be a testing level.
An unfinished space themed level, named "Alienplanet".
The smallest level in-game, it's named "Bank".
A factory themed level, named "Factory".
An unfinished underground temple level, named "Lost temple".
It's not clear if it's a level, but this texture is found in the level folder and is named "Store".
Interestingly, there are many unused and unfinished objects in the Scribblenauts files. Most of these objects were removed for obvious reasons, but other appears to be due to time restriction.
